Like seriously, being over-protective and over-bearing of your child is not helping. In fact, it’s probably going to lead to rebellion in later years in the form of drinking, smoking, drugs, and sex.
Also, if the values you’re instilling in your children are so fucking strong, why don’t you trust them? Because I mean, really. Hearing one swear word on TV is not going to provoke your child into swearing 24/7. Also, I bet that what they hear on TV or in songs or in books has nothing on what your child hears at school. By the time I was in 4th grade words like “fuck” and “shit” were regularly traded among kids in the bathroom and the playground.
So, quit trying to fucking control all of America with your ~pure values. Because lbr, it’s not television or music that’s corrupting your kids, it’s other kids.
